Your tires are as important to us as they are to you. At AutoFair Ford of Haverhill, Massachusetts our service department is staffed with only certified Ford tire technicians. When you come to us for a tire rotation, they'll make sure they check the tire treads and pressure of each tire and advise you of any tire that may need to be replaced. If your front tires are wearing unevenly, they'll check the brakes and suspension during your tire rotation and let you know if it's time to replace the brake pads or if you need an alignment.

At Haverhill Ford, we'll let you know it's time for a front end alignment if we notice your front tires seem to be worn unevenly to one side or another. If we see the level of wear on all your tire treads is too much then we'll check your brake pads, too. If your tire treads a worn too much it can cause you to break harder more often causing the brake pads to wear excessively.

Tires should be rotated every 6,000 - 8,000 miles depending on the manufacturer's specs and how many miles you travel every six months. It may be necessary to bring your car in for a rotation or front end alignment before the actual scheduled date. Bear in mind if your alignment is off and any of your tires are excessively worn, it can adversely affect fuel efficiency and that can really hurt your wallet if you do use your vehicle for long commute. We will document all the maintenance performed when you come in for a tire rotation and can schedule future maintenance, too. However, you may want to be  proactive with checking the general condition of your own tires, especially if you use your vehicle for long commutes on a regular basis.
