The 2019 Ford Edge is the first Ford SUV to include as standard equipment the Ford Co-Pilot360 system - a suite of five smart driver-assist features designed to help drivers feel more confident on the road. This model comes in four different trims: the SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. The first three trims come standard with a Twin-Scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, and the ST gets a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine for extra power. Overall, the 2019 Ford Edge offers some of the most impressive features of any SUV on the market and is as safe as it is fun to drive.

Comfort and Convenience

Standard equipment on the '19 Edge includes push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, a cabin air filter, a blind spot monitor, and active grille shutters, which close to increase aerodynamics - and fuel economy - at higher speeds. The SEL adds dual-zone automatic climate control, spoked aluminum wheels, upgraded cloth seats, and silver roof rails. The Titanium comes standard with a wireless charging pad, heated power side mirrors, remote start system, heated leather seats, and a hands-free, foot-activated liftgate, and the ST receives aluminum pedals, trim-specific bolstered leather sport seats, and ten-way power-adjustable driver and front passenger seats, plus the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6.

The entertainment system for the standard SE trim includes the SYNC infotainment system complete with an AM/FM stereo, while the SEL has an available Premium Audio System with nine speakers. The Titanium and ST trims include the Premium Sound System by Bang & Olfusen. All trims include SiriusXM Radio, with the option of voice-activated touchscreen navigation and Traffic Link for the SEL and Titanium trims (standard on the ST). Exclusive to the ST is a dual-headrest DVD entertainment system for back-row passengers.

Cargo capacity is aided by the 60/40 split-fold-flat and reclining bench-style back seat, which helps with accommodating oversized or oddly shaped items. The SEL, Titanium, and ST each have a second row EasyFold seat for additional capacity. Heated seats are available on the SEL, Titanium, and ST trims, and cooled seats are available on the Titanium and standard on the ST.

All trims also come equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360 mentioned above. This includes the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert and the lane-keeping system, as well as AdvanceTrac with roll stability control and curve control, and hill start assist; evasive steering assist is available for all trims except the SE. The Enhanced Parking Assist System (available on the Titanium and standard on the ST) offers parallel parking assist, park out assist, reverse perpendicular parking assist, and forward/side sensing systems.

Each of the four trims includes the Personal Safety System that includes side-impact airbags, a front- and second-row passenger dual-stage driver's knee airbag, and a glove-box-door-integrated knee airbag. Also featured is the SOS Post-Crash Alert System and rear-view camera for ease of backing out. The remote keyless entry system, MyKey, comes standard on all trims, but the SEL, Titanium, and ST offer the SecuriCode keyless entry keypad. Standard to the Titanium and ST trims is the perimeter alarm system, which is also available on the SEL.
